Made in the area of Taranto, it takes its name from the eponymous Messapian town. It is produced from the 100%m Primitivo bush-trained vine species, with grapes hand-picked and hand-selected, before. maceration on the skins for 4-6 days and controlled-temperature fermentation. It has a ruby red colour verging on purple, an intense bouquet with notes of blackberry and spiced wood.
