Villa Mottura

Villa Mottura

Fiano

Produced in Salento, made from Fiano grapes harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature. An attractive straw yellow, its bouquet contains delicate fruity hints of white blossom and exotic fruit. Pleasantly crispy, soft, enfolding and sapid.

Villa Mottura

Locorotondo

Produced in the town of the same name and in Fasano and Cisternino. This is one of the “historic” wines of Puglia, originally from the Murgia area. Made from Verdeca and Bianco d’Alessano grapes harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 16°C, with a brief time on the lees. An attractive straw yellow with hints of green, its bouquet contains delicate fruity hints of russet apples and white peaches. Soft and mouth-filling, pleasantly tangy.

Villa Mottura

Salento Rosato

Made in the middle of the Salento peninsula from grapes of three different varieties: a majority of Negroamaro grapes with a small percentage of Malvasia nera di Brindisi and Malvasia nera di Lecce, both grapes of Greek origin which came to Puglia from Morea. Picked by hand with traditional maceration for 36 hours, soft pressing, natural decantation and fermentation at a controlled temperature of 16°C. A soft, bright coral pink in colour with a fruity, floral bouquet offering hints of aromatic herbs, with a good balance of fruit, freshness and full flavour in the mouth.

Villa Mottura

Negroamaro del Salento

Made from the Negroamaro grape, a varietal of remote origins which has been grown in southern Puglia since the 6th century B.C. Grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selecting the bunches carefully and subjecting them to a traditional maceration of 10-12 days on the skins, fermenting the must at a controlled temperature with pumping-over and delestage. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barriques. Deep ruby red with an intense, broad bouquet containing ripe fruit, pepper, tobacco and walnut, with ethereal notes. Velvety, full and harmonious in the mouth.

Villa Mottura

Primitivo di Manduria

Made in the province of Taranto and parts of the province of Brindisi exclusively from the Primitivo grape, an ancient varietal which was introduced all around the Mediterranean by Phoenician and Greek colonists. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selecting the bunches carefully and subjecting them to a traditional maceration of 10-12 days on the skins, fermenting the must at a controlled temperature, with pumping-over and delestage. Alcoholic fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 6 months in French oak barriques. Deep ruby red tending to purple, with an austere bouquet of red jam, sour cherry, carob and walnut, with a full, velvety, harmonious flavour.
