Established in 2005, the “Le Pitre” project aims to enhance the potential of these indigenous grapes by optimizing the marriage of terroir and varietal, using the latest field research to improve the wines’ characteristics.
These distinctive and characteristic wines come from the Le Pitre estate. The varieties cultivated are Primitivo, Negroamaro, Chardonnay and Fiano.
These wines are produced from the 60-year-old “alberello” vineyards, which do not produce a lot of grapes, allowing for a greater concentration of flavors and aromas in the bunches.
Harvesting is done by hand and the grapes carefully selected in order to guarantee the highest quality and a richness that stimulates the senses.
Then, over the next 12 months, the process of refinement takes place inside French oak barrels, allowing the wine’s characteristics to fully develop, giving us a taste of its journey through this land we love so much.
